Aim:
As in the case of the previous conferences in this series, the aim of
ISMA 2007 is to
bring together international leaders of the musical acoustics field and
to provide them
with a platform to report and discuss recent research and developments.
The central
theme of ISMA 2007 is âScientific design of musical instruments: a tool
to preserve
and improve our musical heritageâ.

⢠Wind instruments and pipe organs
⢠Percussion instruments
⢠The singing voice
⢠Perception of musical sounds
⢠Electronic musical instruments
Special Topics:
⢠The scientific design of musical instruments
⢠Physical modelling and sound synthesis
⢠Non-linear phenomena in musical acoustics
Solicited papers:
The conference will comprise papers for oral presentations of 15 min + 5
min
discussion, and posters with 5 min oral presentation (and optional
publication of an
associated manuscript in the proceedings).
